The Punjab Essential and Auxiliary Medical Services Division (P&SHD) Secretary Irshad Ahmed said that 152 new dengue cases were accounted for in Punjab during the most recent 24 hours.
In an explanation given here on Monday, he said that 71 dengue cases were accounted for in Rawalpindi, 47 in Lahore, 12 in Gujranwala, 3 each in Kasur, Vehari, and Sheikhupura, 2 each in Multan, Narowal and Sahiwal, 1 each in Rajanpur, Layyah, Hafizabad, Khanewal, Chakwal, Nankana Sahib and Sialkot, during the most recent 24 hours. He said that a sum of 3,437 dengue infection cases had been accounted for such a long way during the ongoing year while four individuals passed on from the infection.
According to the P&SHD secretary, 816 people were receiving care at various hospitals throughout the province. During the previous 24 hours, the anti-dengue squad conducted surveillance at 266,594 indoor and 75,780 outdoor locations to look for dengue larvae.
During daily observation, the P&SHD’s anti-dengue squad eliminated dengue larvae at 1925 locations around the province.
To protect themselves against dengue, the secretary recommended individuals take preventative measures and maintain a dry and clean atmosphere.
